Ambler Borough Park
A beautiful stretch of land in the heart of Ambler. The park is just under 9 acres and boasts the Rose Valley Creek as its focal point. Despite being in the center of a bustling town, Ambler Borough Park remains a quite, peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. You can access the park from the stairs next to the bridge on Hendricks, in the cul de sac at the end of Edgewood Drive or from Tennis Avenue close to Ridge. As of 2015, Ambler Borough Park is now dog friendly!
Knight Park
Quite different than the borough park, Knight Park is almost always full of kids and lots of activity all year round. Here you will find basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a large playground with equipment for the little ones as well as the older kids, tons of grass for play and a picnic area with tables.
There is talk of adding a skate park in the area but as of yet has not been approved. Knight Park is located on Bannockburn Avenue between Church Street and S Main Street.
Pickering Field
If your children (big or little) play baseball or any variation of it in town then most likely they play at Pickering Field. You can swing by just about any night in the warmer months to see a game and they even have concessions during baseball season. There are multiple baseball diamonds and a soccer field plus restrooms that are open in season. Pickering Field is located on Highland and Trinity Avenues between Park Ave and North Street. When visiting Pickering Field, if you didn’t get there on foot, please be aware that there is no parking on Highland Avenue between Park Avenue and Church Street.
Ricciardi Park
Ambler’s newest park which is dedicated to James Ricciardi who served Ambler as a member of the Borough Council for over 30 years. This park has a multi purpose court, a walking trail and a playground for the little ones. Ricciardi Park is located on Hendricks Street between Mt Pleasant and Tennis Avenues.
